Rooted in Southern elegance and designed with a reverence for symmetry, The Waverly is a wedding and event venue in Charleston that invites timeless celebration. Every space was thoughtfully crafted to evoke both grace and grandeur from the moment guests arrive to the final toast.

Our design approach centered around balance, natural light, and refined materials. In the main hall, strong architectural lines and soaring ceilings create a sense of symmetry and quiet drama. The space is anchored by a floor-to-ceiling grid of iron doors that mirror the garden’s structured layout, allowing the indoors and outdoors to feel beautifully connected. Overhead, a subtle floral wallpaper climbs across the ceiling, adding unexpected romance and texture where guests least expect it.

Soft plaster walls, limewashed tones, and white oak floors lend a warm neutrality to the venue, allowing florals, fashion, and emotion to take center stage. Arched doorways and custom millwork nod to Charleston’s architectural heritage, while clean lines and minimal styling keep the space feeling fresh and contemporary.

From the serene bridal suite to the manicured garden paths, The Waverly was designed as a backdrop for beauty in every season, meant not only to host a day, but to elevate the memory of it.

Hiring Metal + Petal was, without a doubt, the best decision we made in creating The Waverly. From the very beginning, they understood our vision—not just for a beautiful space, but for an experience. Their team blended timeless elegance with fresh, modern touches that have turned our venue into a destination couples fall in love with the moment they step foot on the property.

Every detail, from the outside areas to the flow of the space to the curated finishes, was handled with impeccable taste and thoughtfulness. They were incredibly collaborative, responsive, and creative—always balancing aesthetics with functionality. The final result is not only stunning in photos, but truly magical in person. Our guests constantly compliment the ambiance, and industry professionals have told us it’s one of the most beautifully designed venues in Charleston.
