After more than twenty years of family life, this Brookhaven home in Buckhead Atlanta was ready for a full transformation. The clients raised their children here, lived in the space, and approached the renovation not as a reset, but as an evolution.

A family of four with two grown children, this jet setting couple loves their neighbors and neighborhood and could not imagine leaving. 

Metal + Petal took the home down to the studs, reworking the layout to better support how the family lives today. Walls were moved, circulation improved, and every room was redesigned from the kitchen and bathrooms to the laundry room, mudroom, powder room, coffee station, and all living spaces.

The design draws from the firm’s more moody, contemporary work, layered with color, texture, and a strong sense of personality. A custom fireplace anchors the main living area, while the kitchen pairs sculptural brass fixtures with Pink Rhino marble, creating a space that feels bold and grounded.

Furnishings and finishes throughout the home were curated from Noir Furniture, Made Goods, balancing warmth with modern lines. Two living rooms were designed to feel distinct and connected with layered seating, sculptural moments, and visual depth from the entry forward.

The client’s office embraces color and contrast, featuring soft pink walls with orange trim and a bold floral fabric set against a black ground. In the dining room, a traditional Schumacher wallpaper is paired with contemporary chairs and a Jaipur Rugs rug, creating a space that feels timeless yet fresh.

The primary bedroom was designed to feel effortless. A warm, neutral retreat that fits the homeowners perfectly. Two guest bedrooms were layered to feel intentional, and ready for long stays.

The result is a reimagined home that reflects both its history and its future. It’s contemporary, collected, and designed for real life.
